IMAGE + WORD = ?
An image is a representation of a particular perspective. It is created by someone by through a variety of methods such as, photography or illustration, in order to portray a certain point of view. Words on the other hand, are symbols that are grouped together to create meaning.
In design, images are a very powerful tool to set the mood for the piece. Everyone perceives images through their own experience. Words provide context to the image when used together. Using both allows the designer to better direct the perception of the viewer, and in turn create a more efficient design with more depth and a wider range to demonstrate a certain concept.
